Check event spaces are open. Unlock rooms and turn the lights on according to the schedule. Open all spaces that are open to the public. Prop open all interior entrance doors. INH: Verify TV is on and functioning properly. Report any problems to operations list host (studentcenters-operations@lists.uchicago.edu). RC: Open Bartlett Lounge. Set up tables and chairs if needed in shift notes. Verify wall schedules are up. Review the event schedule. Make note of AV setups/takedowns. Check in with SC staff (ADOPs, ESWs, or ABM on site). Please confirm you completed the opening checklist by checking off items as you complete them. Building Rounds Managers are expected to complete two rounds per hour. Full building rounds are defined as walking the hallways and stairways throughout the building, from the lower level to floor 3. Please list the times of your rounds. Building Rounds Checklist * I confirmed the building matches the 7Point schedule. No rooms are open that shouldn't be open. I confirmed each room matches the 7Point schedule. All necessary AV and furniture are in the event spaces. I closed all windows and turned off the lights/AV before locking the rooms. I noted any dull light bulbs and/or leaks, and reported them to facilities. I noted any safety concerns and addressed them. I did a building round at least every 30 minutes. I checked in with clients and introduced myself as the Building Manager. Please confirm you checked the above items on every building round. Overall Shift Notes * Please note if you called facilities for any maintenance concerns. Please detail what for and if they came to resolve the issue. Please note any requests a client made to you, that was not included in their reservation (extra furniture, AV, etc). Please note any groups that arrived late or did not show for their reservation during your shift. Please note any groups that did not throw their trash away and/or did not leave the space clean. Please note any AV setups you completed during your shift. Please note any operational issues you encountered during your shift (tap access, etc). Closing Checklist RC: Close Bartlett Lounge. Return any tables/chairs to the storage closet. Remove schedules from the walls. Make a pre-closing round 15 minutes before closing. Walk through all public and event spaces and inform people the building will close soon and they need to head out. Check that all room doors are locked with the lights off and rooms are empty before you leave. Put up room schedules for the next day. Recycle old room cards. INH: Check to make sure everyone has left The Pub and no one is left in the bathrooms. RC: Check to make sure everyone has left Hutch, Pret, and Hallowed, and no one is left in the bathrooms. Make sure SG, MUN, WHPK, and FXK (RC) or the Maroon, Doc, Career Advancement, and Spiritual Life (INH) offices are empty. Ask them to leave if not. Knock on all bathroom doors and peek in to make sure they are empty. Do a final round of the building covering every floor, stairwell, and the Pub/Cafes to ensure everyone has left the building. Assist the Pub staff in clearing the Pub if necessary. Pub staff, Pret staff, and ABM are the only people who can stay after close. Turn radio off and return to its charger. Ensure it is properly charging. Return keys and ops phone to office. Submit a complete shift report. Clock out on Workday. Confirm the outside doors lock. The tap pads should be red. If they are not, double tap them red and inform ADOPs. Exit the building and ensure the door closes and locks behind you.
