University Departments are considered all University of Chicago academic and non-academic departments and non-student groups. The Student Centers welcome University business into our venues, but place special priority on departmental events that center the student experience or are intended for a student audience.

Make a Reservation
For Indoor Events:
- Browse our Event Spaces
- Browse our Event Services and Room Setups
- Request an event space using our online scheduler, EMS.
- Wait for your confirmation emailed from our scheduling office*
For Outdoor Events and Installations
- View the Quad Maps or Outdoor Table and Banner Locations
- Submit our Outdoor Event & Installation Request Form
- Wait for your confirmation emailed from our scheduling office*
*We may follow up with questions before confirming, depending on the complexity of your event or installation. Because the quads are shared spaces, the scope of certain events or installations may require the approval of other departments.
*Please note, departments will be charged a $25 booking fee for quad events in FY25. This fee helps offset the growing labor and software costs associated with processing reservations.
